Emergence

Pavel Grosu’s painting is an organic investigation of a recognizable reality in which the pictorial matter is subordinated to a dominant figurative universe. The world of forms that the artist explores is extremely versatile as well as plasticity, being inspired by collage as a technique of organizing surfaces. The figurative lives alongside the abstract in a relationship of complementarity, the non-figurative elements functioning as points of emergence of the component forms in the world imagined by the artist.
